ProAccess

For those who believe that Unix is the best operating system for database servers for the larger business, we have the ProAccess tools.

The ProAccess RAD tool has been around for over 10 years and is a solid, general-purpose rapid application development tool designed to run solely on Unix. With these tools, you can produce your own character-based applications and read data from other Unix based applications such as Sage CS3.

Whilst some would consider this product old fashioned, the advantages of using character-based input are speed and reliability. Unix and ProAccess are very robust. ProAccess runs at almost the same speed over a dial up line as it does over a local network.
