WITH ServIT Communications

Use a GPRS enabled PDA (Such as an XDAII) or ANY Pocket PC 2002 (Or above) PDA that is Bluetooth enabled (So that it can connect to your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone) or you can run it connected to your local network via a wireless network card. You can even run it stand-alone and synchronise the data when you return to your PC.

The PDA can still run all your existing applications (Email, Contacts, Calendar, GPS Navigation etc.)

Fast integration with our management modules, at a fixed price too.

NO monthly data charges or usage charges from us – You only pay your airtime supplier for the data your send.

What is the package?

ServIT Systems mobile communications package consists of the Pocket PC Creations software and applications, the Service Management Connect Server software and Text Message Server.

The following built in applications are included:

• Text messaging between PDA’s and the desktop.
• Service calls module – Automatically despatch a call to a PDA, process it (Including customer signature) and return an electronic job sheet directly into your Service Management package.
• Service call history request, see the last four calls for the job you are doing.
• Site survey report, includes a picture if your PDA can take one!
• File transmission – Send any file to or from a PDA.

Other features:

• Automatic software updating – The system automatically updates each PDA with the latest version of your software.
• Install new applications remotely.
• Write your own mobile applications using the supplied tools.
• Export received data to Excel or store the data into a database.
  

Optional features:

• Print to a portable 4” thermal printer or battery operated ink jet.
• Low cost application development if you want us to write further applications for you.
• Additional office based text message clients.
  

What do I need?

You need an ADSL or Broadband connection and GPRS enabled PDA’s or a PDA and mobile phone with GPRS connectivity if you want real time mobile data.
